TEKTON 10-1/2 Fencing Pliers are a compact, versatile tool for working with wire, nails, and staples. Pull nails and staples, splice, separate, and cut wires, start staples, and cut wires. Cutting capacity for solid galvanized or coated steel wires: 8 – 18 AWG, cutting capacity for solid aluminum wire: 6 – 18 AWG, cutting capacity for 2-strand wires (barbed or barbless): 12.5 – 18 AWG.
- Staple and nail puller: the parallel jaws can grip the crown of a staple or the head of a nail and easily pry them out
- Wire splicer: use the top and bottom jaws to isolate two strands of wire for splicing or separating, the bottom jaws are large enough to grip and twist multiple strands of wire
- Staple starter: use the 2 jaw openings to hold a staple in place and drive it with a hammer, start a staple with 1 hand by gripping it in the upper jaws and swinging it into the post
- Striking face: the flat surface is less prone to chipping and deformation than a serrated surface, hit the striking face with a hammer to drive the claw under a staple
- Staple claw: the longer, more pointed claw gives better access for prying out staples
